Image
We have launched a second store on etsy called billy's - it is for all the vintage bits and pieces we collect and would like to share with the world. It is a small collection at the moment but will grow over time. Here are some beautiful botanical paper coasters that are for sale in billys .

I just love the photos and styling by Kim Ludy who owns a beautiful etsy shop called trampoline and who also has a lovely flicker stream . Have a look, she has some very beautiful pieces.

Lovely blog love

We found this recently in flicker - our Vintage Alphabet Print (for sale in our etsy store) beautifully framed, by this gorgeous nursery, which was featured in ohdeedoh . The nursery belongs to Caroline Amrmelle, who has a lovely blog and shop selling jewelry on etsy. Thanks Caroline, the print and nursery look fantastic!

Found the lovely work of Donna Wilson and her on line store - wow.

New Artwork

Image
I have had this image in my mind for a while now, it is entitled 'Love lets you grow' and since Valentines day is around the corner I thought it would be a good time to get it down on paper. These two prints are available in our etsy shop. My thinking was; just like a garden looks even more beautiful over time.

New Motherhood dolls

Image
Sweet William started out by making these special motherhood dolls. We love the image of Madonna and Child and are always on the look out for new interpretations of her softness and femininity - and so I designed a little cushion and Shelley made her up all by hand. Each time we make a new one we are so proud! This one is now available in our etsy store.

beautiful on line magazine

Here is a link to Antler a 'DIGITAL MAGAZINE PROMOTING CREATIVITY AND BEAUTY IN ALL ASPECTS OF LIFE' - this is a beautiful online mag, well worth a look, enjoy.

For Shelley and Jem - new lands

Image
This illustration is for my sister and her husband who have just moved house and suburb and comfort zone. They have sold up their pretty little cottage and moved to the country and will be building from scratch - putting in their own plumbing, electricity, post box, water, internet connection, everything! The type on the illo reads: 'In order to discover new lands one has to lose sight of the shore'. Shells, it will all be worth it in the end, hang in there. xx

color crush - aqua

Image
Can't get enough of aqua or turquoise. Shots above are as follows. 1) little dutch girl in front of aqua tiles from my flicker collection 2) flowers by Zee found on flicker 3) paper poms on etsy 4) vintage pin box from ladyfort on flicker

new vintage finds

Image
We have lots to share on our little blog this new year - beautiful handmade things bought online over the Christmas period, new inspiration, new artwork and of-course my never ending hobby -new vintage finds. I went off to an amazing trash and treasure market a few weeks ago (I snuck out of the house early while my family was till sleeping) and here are a few of my finds. 1) bright new addition to my ever expanding tea towel collection 2) swan planter and pretty milk jug 3) and my best find of the day -a silver urn found at the bottom of a pile of old stuff which I picked up for a bargain! And also a very big thank you to Peta from Mathilda's Market Blog who did a lovely interview of us at Sweet William, a great way to start the year!

back from holidays

Image
We are all back from our holidays feeling refreshed and happy. Paula went camping with her family at the coast in Gippsland, Jeanine has had her sister visiting from South Africa and Shelley is in the middle of moving house so will need another holiday very soon! Sweet William is rearing to go - our shop is open again on etsy , madeit (AU) and felt (NZ). Above are some happy snappy shots of my (Paula) family on our camping beach holiday - we had a blast! On the way to Gippsland I popped into a few fantastic thrift shops and I will be sharing my finds with you all. Hope everyone had a good break and is looking forward to a fantastic twenty ten.
