dear oly made my day

Image
I received this amazingly eclectic parcel in the post from dear oly, it was full of all sorts of little treasures. Have a look at dear oly's blog , shop , and flicker page . A real feast for your eyes and imagination - just lovely, lovely lovely, made my day!

First Prize for us!

We pulled out all the stops and were pleased as punch with our stall at Magnolia Square. I unscrewed my old (more shabby then chic) dressing table, squeezed it into my car and screwed it up again at the fair, added a persian rug, roses in tea pots, pin boards, vintage suitcases and all our lovely hand made products. It paid off and we were most flattered to receive the award for best visual display, even more flattered as it was judged by Aimee who is a stylist of note and who has a beautiful store of her own called tiger and peacock . It was also lovely to briefly meet Lucy from the Design Files , who has done a feature on Magnolia Square on her fantastic blog. Hooray!! Our etsy store was briefly closed for a few days but it is up and running again and all our prints from the market are on sale there or on made it (AUS)or on felt (NZ).

We heart stall set up!

Image
One of the juicy bits of doing a market is stall set up. We love to fuss and frou-frou until we have something to be pleased with. Inspiration abounds, we decide on a loose theme and have a lovely play with bits and pieces from our collections. We will post some shots of our stand soon, but in the mean time, thought you might like to see some images that would tie in nicely with our theme - a Sweet William bedroom.

next market - Magnolia Square

Image
Sweet William will be at the Magnolia Square Market from Thursday the 18th of March until Saturday the 20th of March at the new venue - St Kilda Town Hall, Melbourn. Come along and say hi, we have been working up a storm and our very excited about our new stall set up - will be sure to blog about it when we get a bit more time next week.

crazy busy

Image
Well it has been a busy week and I do love blogland (when I have oodles of time) but when things get really busy I find it is hard to keep up, so apologies for the lack of postings this week. Gearing up for Mathilda's Marke t has been part of the festivities this week (plus out of town weddings, house guests, school activities, art course, social engagements, freelance work and the unpacking from a wet weekend of camping) it is a good thing the Lord gave women the gift of multi tasking. If you live in Melbourne pop in and say hello to Jeanine and I at Hawthorn Town Hall on Sunday morning.

new illustration print

This illustration has been on my mind for a while now. We have moved many times - countries and houses so this is some thing that rings very true for me and my family. This print is now available in our etsy store .
