Image
Been busy taking photographs of all our prints...phew, it is quite a time consuming job, but very happy with the result! Thanks Tigs - once you have your photography website up and running I can add a live link. All prints available for sale in our etsy shop. (now I need to go and load all the images on to etsy!)

geometric love - unfold print

Image
More bits and pieces that are inspiring me at the moment - can't get enough of geometric shapes in bright colors. Found these lovelies on etsy - top right ; top left and bottom right ; bottom left . I then had a go at doing my own - painted onto wood and then did a bit of digital collage to create 'unfold' which is now for sale as a print in our etsy shop. YaYa it's Friday! Have a brilliant weekend everyone!

owl love

Image
I have been commissioned to draw an owl for a design for a kids t- shirt and have noticed all the lovely owly imagery out there. Imagine my delight when I found this blog: My owl Barn , for all owl lovers! Love the 'owl love you always' cross stitch and miniature little owl doodles. Other images are from: 3 owls card - flicker ; miniature japanese owls - flicker and owl king poster - society 6 . Now I need to get drawing, have a lovely day.

very pleased

Image
I am so very pleased with these lovely shots of our Sweet William prints in situ - all taken around my home, by a lovely girl friend who is in the process of launching herself as a photographer in Melbourne. Don't they look just lovely! (That is my youngest daughter - Liberty, holding up the alphabet print) The shots will be used in our etsy shop so people get a feel for the actual print on paper.

All things nautical

Image
I have been recently inspired by all things nautical - a little trend floating around at the moment. Camille ( the little red head character that I draw) finds herself all decked out in a sailors outfit and has taken to the seas in a blue and white striped tea cup. I have also worked on a water color drawing of an old ship perched on some very high sea with a little message blowing in the wind. (my prints are available to buy in our etsy shop ) I have seen a few interesting nautical inspired bits and pieces on the web which I thought I would share: nautical wall paper ; more nautical wall paper of old ship ; dutch delft blue and white sailing ring; compass card vintage dictioanary art print; sailor vignette print. Hope you are all having a fantastic Tuesday. Paula x

inspiration - Edwina White

Image
This is the amazing work of Edwina White . I am constantly on the look out for illustrators/artists/crafters/designers/people who inspire and always feel so excited when I find a whole pile of fresh inspiration - isn't it a wonderful thing to be inspired by other people?

Just a simple little illustration that has been on my mind for awhile now and I had a chance today to put it down on paper and finish it off on the Mac. Have a lovely day! Paula x
